Welcome to Northcombe Camping Barns
This beautifully converted watermill, a mile from Dulverton, has a network of footpaths and bridleways onto Exmoor and the lovely Barle river valley. There's good canoeing on the river and many other local activities making the barns ideal for all sorts of active breaks.
There are two bunk barns at Northcombe, one that sleeps up to 16 people (made up of 2 dormatories that sleep 10 and 6) and the other can sleep up to 28 people (made up of 3 dormatories that sleep 10, 12 and 6 guests). The sleeping areas in both barns are partitioned giving some privacy where bunks are provided. Dependant on bookings we can also cater for smaller groups so please contact to ask about availability no matter the size of your party.
Wood Burning stoves heat both barns the run the central heating for the bedrooms. We also have an outdoor fire pit (Logs can be purchased at £5 a barrow load). They barns come fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery (electricity £1 meter).
Get away from it all and recharge your batteries on this beautiful working farm on Exmoor. Northcombe is a rustic retreat and we have no WiFi but the town of Dulverton is close by and free WiFi is available at Woods Bar & Restaurant for our guests.

How To Get Here
From Tiverton, take A396 to Dulverton, turning left to Dulverton at Exebridge. Once in Dulverton go over the bridge up through the town, bearing right at the Chemist which will be in the centre of the road, carry on up through the town. In front of you will be the “Rock Pub” (garage on left). Take the narrow tarmac road at the left hand side of the pub and continue up the hill, passing Hollam house. After 1/2 mile turn left signed
“Northcombe Farm”. Follow the farm track (pass the new farmhouse and modern barn buildings) until you reach the barns.
After 4pm, the barn is usually left unlocked and we will come to see if everything is ok, and to see if you require anything.
During busy periods, please check out before 10.30am, but please check with us at the time of booking. All used bottles and cans are to be kept separated for recycling and if possible to be taken with you. There is a local recycling centre just outside of Dulverton.
